We're not big on major outings round here, tending to stick to a pretty low-key, low budget rhythm during the week. However, a string of wet days and a need for a change of pace had this mama searching for a different destination on a recent morning. So, a short car ride away we found Scienceworks and lo and behold they had a special dinosaur exhibition on. Two boys, roared their way through the thankfully compact and admittedly (still not really fully into this dinosaur thing myself despite two very enthusiastic pickles) impressive display.

After all that dinosaur action a wind down was necessary. Just nearby on Hall St in Newport we found the perfect cafe, Nosh. Great hot chocolates, a brilliant and well priced kids menu which has a no fried food policy and trains going by just across the road.

Our new dinosaur friends enjoyed it too.

Sadly, I didn't get any photos of the food but the muffins were great and the chicken tenderloins and salad from the kids menu were great too.
